HARARE–AWARD-WINNING South African singer Toya Delazy is on a whirlwind tour of Africa which will take her to Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Kenya and her homeland this month..
Dubbed ‘Rocking The City’ tour, Delazy will perform at least seven gigs in seven African countries where she will share the stage with local acts.
So far she has performed in Zambia on October 1 and her next show is scheduled for Harare in Zimbabwe on October 21.
The Harare gig is slated for Mashonaland Turf Club’s Borrowdale racecourse.
Show organiser Minky Walters of Sound Event Management said: “This is one of the most exciting announcements of the year on the Zimbabwean arts and entertainment scene and we look forward to hosting one of the best and most popular performers at what promises to be a stunning concert.”
Delazy will also perform in Windhoek on October 22; Gaborone on October 28; Nairobi on October 30; and Johannesburg on November 4.
With a reputation as a front runner and visionary within the music industry, Toya Delazy is aiming at continental success with this new endeavour under Delazy Entertainment, and the tour is an indicator of how Delazy is running her own race and carrying the South African flag high.
“I’m so happy to finally share some dates of my Rocking The City Africa tour with everyone. My team and I have been working for months on this gigantic project and for it to finally materialise makes all the hard work worthwhile,” she said in a statement.
Her latest music video, for the single Nu High, is available for purchase on all major digital platforms.
