Congolese musician Awilo Longomba and Nigerian Afro-pop singer Yemi Alade have collaborated on a track called Rihanna.
The two dance up a storm in the spanking new video in which Awilo likens Alade to Barbadian singer Rihanna.
The video premiered last week on selected channels on DStv and it promises to be a hit.
Awilo being a good dancer that he is displays his fancy footwork while Alade gyrates on screen.
The track is a crossover between rhumba and Afro-pop but on the whole it’s a great song accompanied by a quality video.
This is one of the many collaborations between DRC and Nigerians musicians.
Other collaborations include Fally Ipupa and J Martins as well as P Square and Awilo.
In a related matter, Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani has release his collaboration with Tanzanian songstress – Vanessa MDee.
The video of the track titled “No Mind Dem” shows the two artistes sharing the romantic feelings and intentions.
The song was inspired by Eugene Wilde’s “1984 single titled “Gotta Get You Home Tonight”.
However, the good thing about Ice Prince is that he is not putting his music into a box but he likes to experiment with other beats.
