Bonang thrilled to MC 2017 NAMAs

Windhoek – Namibia’s radio and TV personalities Mappz Kapofi and Uejaa Kazondunge will co-host the 2017 Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) along with one of top South African MCs Bonang Matheba.
The trio have been selected to MC at the country’s premiere music event, which is expected to attract millions of viewers across the world when it goes live on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 at the Namibia Development Corporation centre in Walvis Bay.
Bonang is a radio and TV personality also well established on South Africa’s fashion and beauty scene, has been described by media pundits as the ‘best presenter to come out of South Africa’. The regular red carpet host for E! Africa who also presents Top Billing presenter on SABC3 was elated to be selected to co-host Namibia’s premier music awards.
“I’ve come to Namibia numerous times, and it goes without saying that I am a big fan of the country and its wonderful people. To be trusted to co-host a production of this magnitude is such an honour for me. I look forward to making Namibians proud, and I promise to bring unsurpassed entertainment, fashion and a world class package and experience,” said Bonang Matheba.
She has also graced prominent stages such as the Mzanzi Magic Clash of the Choir, hosting the South African Music Awards (SAMAs), Metro FM Music Awards and co-hosting the MTV Africa Music Awards and was the first black celebrity to grace the covers of Maxim SA and Glamour SA magazines.
Kazondunge is a seasoned Namibian MC having been in the entertainment industry for the past 10 years. She was pleased to be chosen with Matthew Kapofi.
“I am beyond excited. This is a grand opportunity to be co-hosting the 2017 NAMAs as we get to celebrate and award the best in the Namibian music industry,” Kazondunge said.
She hosted the first ever NAMAs in 2011, and again in 2015 and 2016. Other notable events under belt are the Last Band Standing Competition 2012-2014, MTC Premiership Awards, Bank Windhoek Cancer Apple Project Comedy Show, Inaugural African Fashion Showcase and numerous corporate events.
Other masters of ceremonies chosen to present at the showpiece will be Esperanca Luvindao and Paul Munanyala who will be on the blue carpet on Saturday (29th April), while Luciana Kangombe and Katrina Andreas will be in the blue room on the same day.
On the main stage for the Industry Awards on Friday (28th April) El-Shaddai Aluteni and Joe Mulisa will be the hosts, while Chantal Kambrude and Paul Munanyala will be presenting on the blue carpet. – firstname.lastname@example.org
