Bishop makes history

By Southern Times Reporter

From extending the frontiers of Christianity globally to speaking at acclaimed gatherings, overseeing more than 320 churches globally, superintending his own family, being a father to many sons and daughters globally to being a loving family man and husband and from being an avid fitness enthusiast to being a keen soccer player, Bishop Colin Nyathi, the leader of Harvest House International Church has once again exhibited his other talent by launching    20 books on a single day.

Just when one thought his energy must be sapping, consumed of course by the hectic calendar and busy schedule he springs yet another surprise by demonstrating his creative energy from the fountain of his pen bringing to fore solid and anointed teachings that help in centering the individual Christian as well as align the body of Christ to the times that we are living in.

Bursting onto the literary scene with the critically acclaimed “Desperate for God’s Presence” a book so demanded it had to have a second edition done in 2014, this time Bishop Nyathi leaves his colossal footprint on the literary terrain with titles such as “Backsliding”, “The Essence of Leadership”, “The End Time Events” , “The Holy of Holies” and “Leadership – An Honourable Ambition”. These are all compelling, easy-to-read didactic titles that instruct and enlighten the reader on different and fundamental aspects of Christianity.

In the book “End Time Events”, Bishop Nyathi takes the reader on a journey that unveils God’s end-time calendar in an eye-opening and practical way. In “Leadership – An Honourable Ambition” he beautifully lays out an ambition that centres on the glory of God and the welfare of the church. “Vision: The Essence of Leadership” is a paradigm shifting analysis on the power of vision in the making of leaders.

It’s a must read book for all visionaries as it inculcates a greater understanding of leadership. In all the new titles, Bishop Nyathi comes across as a versatile and knowledgeable author with a firm grasp of the issues he dwells on. Clearly his work is not just spiritually uplifting but scholarly challenging as well.

Avid and casual readers will find his work not only inspiring and uplifting but also enlightening and life changing.

Bishop Nyathi’s books where officially launched at a function on 3rd of May. This function took place at Harvest House International Fife Street Branch which is situated at the corner of Fife Street and Sixth Avenue in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

The branch not only houses 12 services that run throughout the day on Sundays but is also home to the remodelled HHI Bookshop@Fife.

This is a bookshop where Christian books and other Christian paraphernalia are available. The work of notable writers such as Dag Heward-Mills, Benny Hinn, T. D. Jakes, Myles Munroe, Mike Murdock, Joyce Meyer and Juanita Bynum, to mention a few, are just some of the books to be found in this bookshop.

The bookshop has introduced an innovative customer focussed initiative where readers can place orders of books they need and the bookshop will facilitate their procurement at prices that are very easy on the pocket.

The remodelled HHI Bookshop@Fife also bears testament to Bishop Nyathi’s commitment to developing holistic Christians through the provision of wholesome reading material. This bookshop certainly deserves a visit from any serious Christian reader.

The august event which took place May 3, was graced by captains of industry, scholars, authors as well as many other people from diverse walks of life.

Entertainment was provided by various gospel artists amongst whom was Takesure “Zamar” Ncube of the “Kuregerera In Advance”  fame. The “Agere Pachigaro” hitmaker was joined on stage by other gospel artists from the City of Kings. Bulawayo’s fast rising social media sensation and stand-up comedian, Nceku brought the house down with his unique brand of humour. It certainly lived to be an evening to remember.
