WINDHOEK – Standard Bank says hysteria of its autoshow and biltong fees has intensified,  with two days left before the event.

The two day event takes place from 30 June – 1 July at the Sports Klub Windhoek (SKW) stadium where  free style motocross world champions, the Podmol brothers, are set to entertain attendees with their gravity and defying dare-devil stunts for the first time in the history of the auto show.

Standard Bank’s head of vehicle and asset finance, Wim Lotter, expressed excitement about this year’s auto show.

“I am confident to say that we expect a great spectacle this time around too. We will be having 32 exhibiting motor dealers and besides the latest vehicles on display we will also be showcasing the latest automobiles, trucks and motorbikes.  We are hoping to attract over 20 000 spectators to the show and this year our intention is to give exposure to our local dealers because it is always better to support our own,“ he said.

All car lovers who simply want to revel in their beauty and are interested in purchasing vehicles will be offered an interest rate of up to less than 1.75 percent at the auto show. Buyers have the choice to make their first payment only two months later or choose to take insurance with their purchase and receive their first month’s instalment for free.

Potential buyers can also get their pre-approval during the two-day event, or better yet drive away with their dream cars, granted that the participants have the right documentation for the process.

Lotter advised potential buyers to visit as many dealers as possible in order to have a wide range of choice when buying their first car.

“They should think about how a particular vehicle will suit their lifestyle, performance and financial means, compare the vehicles and ask as many questions as possible to the dealers,” Lotter said.
