The Botswana Music Union (BOMU) unveiled the nominees of the 2017 edition of the BOMU Music Awards at Tlotlo Hotel and Conference Centre in Gaborone on 12 October. The event, which is now in its seventh edition, will be held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre on 31 October.
ATI tops the list with six nominations in the Best New Comer, Best Single, Best Male Artist, Best Collaboration, Best Motswako Artist and Song of The Year categories. Charma Gal (real name Magdeline Lesolebe) was nominated in the Best Female, Best Mosakaso, Album of the Year and Song of the Year categories. She has two nominations in the Song of the Year category.
That category was not open for entries and the award will be given to an artiste whose song received the most airplay. Voting will be done via SMS. Visit the BOMU Music Awards Facebook page on how to vote. – Music In Africa
