Care assists 800 000 Angolans
The information was released to Angop last week by Care International provincial director, Daniel J’lio, who said the assistance consists of projects involving awareness programmes on landmines, poliomyelitis and micro-finance. Programmes of reintegration of ex-UNITA soldiers, awareness campaigns against HIV/AIDS, human rights, conflict resolution, land use and tenure, are some other Care International’s areas of assistance to needy groups. The projects have reached the districts of Kuito, Andulo, Chinguar, Nharea, Katabola and Chitembo, aimed at securing the rural community’s economic development.
