New envoys appointed
Selma Ashipala-Musauyi was appointed the new Ambassador to Austria and the United Nations (UN) office in Vienna.
Daniel Smith, a former Interim Charge d’Affaires at the Namibian embassy in Austria, was appointed High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Former Regional Councillor for Katutura Central and East, Tsukhoe //Gowases was appointed High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana, replacing Theresia Samaria.
Former Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Dr Kaire Mbuende, was appointed Ambassador to the UN.
President Pohamba also announced the reassignment of the following heads of mission:
H.E. Professor Peter H. Katjavivi from the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union to the Federal Republic of Germany;
H.E. Hanno Rumpf from the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union;
H.E. Wilfried Emvula from the French Republic to Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the African Union;
H.E. Ms Panduleni Shingenge, from the Kingdom of Sweden to the French Republic;
H.E. Patrick Nandago from the Federal Republic of Brazil to the United States of America;
H.E. Hopelong Ipinge from the United States of America: to the Federal Republic of Brazil
H.E. Ms Theresia Samaria from the Republic of Botswana to the Kingdom of Sweden;
H.E. George Liswaniso, from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the African Union to United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;
H.E. Ringo Abed from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland to the Democratic Republic of Congo;
