Leaders laud SA for World Cup success
Windhoek – Southern African leaders have applauded South Africa for hosting a highly successful world cup. President Pohamba of Namibia and Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe sent messages to President Zuma for shaming critics by playing host to a tournament described as one of the best. “Not even the most incorrigible cynic would deny the sterling political leadership your government provided and the enormous financial resources invested in the modern physical infrastructure that have created the magnificent world class facilities for the tournament,” President Pohamba said. President Mugabe said South Africa had made Africa proud by hosing a successful tournament.
